The American Bar Association's Rule of Law Initiative

A graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law in New York, Steven Schlesinger is a partner of Jaspan Schlesinger LLP. A Super Lawyer in the area of business litigation, Steven Schlesinger has served as chairman of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Professional Ethics Committee in New York and is currently a member of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Committee.

The Work of Super Lawyers and the Top 100 List

Steven Schlesinger is an attorney who studied at Hofstra University School of Law in New York to earn his juris doctor before starting his career with Jaspan Schlesinger, LLP. Steven Schlesinger graduated in the top 10 percent of his class and was named a “Top 100 New York Super Lawyer” in 2014, 2015, and 2016 in the business litigation category serving the New York metro area, which includes parts of New Jersey.

Super Lawyers is an organization that rates the performance of attorneys from over 70 practice areas, creating lists of the top-performing legal professionals. The lists, including the “Top 100s,” are decided based on a 12-indicator system that focuses on the core categories of peer recognition and professional achievement.

About Steven Schlesinger

An attorney with four decades of experience, Steven Schlesinger practices with Jaspan Schlesinger, LLP, in Garden City, New Jersey. His firm provides a broad range of services in areas such as litigation, employment and labor law, and land use and zoning. Steven Schlesinger and his colleagues are also experienced in taxation matters and those involving estates and trusts. His responsibilities include coordinating casework among various practice groups and ensuring that legal services are delivered in a timely and professional manner.

A graduate of Queens College of the City University of New York, Mr. Schlesinger earned his JD at Hofstra University. Graduating among the top of his class, he served on the board of the Moot Court. He subsequently served as chairman of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Professional Ethics Committee while serving in private practice.

Respected in his field, Steven Schlesinger has contributed as author to Goldfeder on Modern Election Law, Third Edition, and is the principal author of Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts, 4th Edition.
